Recovering from an eating disorder is a journey that requires ongoing focus and careful attention. Recovery is absolutely possible! Remember that there is undoubtedly life beyond your eating disorder and taking active steps to prevent relapse and protect your recovery may be a piece of this journey that is sometimes overlooked.
This webinar will take a critical look at what is needed to “pad” your recovery and lessen the risk of relapse. Renfrew experts Hannah Beaver and Lisa Luse will explore some of the hurdles to recovery and help you develop a solid relapse prevention plan. Time will be spent providing information on how to bounce back if old behaviors return and recovery seems to be slipping. Join us for this energetic hour!
About the Presenters:
Hannah Beaver, LCSW, is the Alumni Coordinator for The Renfrew Centers and Team Leader at The Renfrew Center of Radnor, PA. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Pittsburgh, and her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Bryn Mawr College. Ms. Beaver is committed to keeping Renfrew’s alumni network strong and connected by facilitating workshops for former patients and their families. She often provides information to schools on eating disorders and healthy body image.
Lisa Luse, LCSW-C, is the Team Leader for the Day Treatment Program at The Renfrew Center in Bethesda, MD and a Board Approved Supervisor. Lisa’s areas of expertise include body image, family dynamics, and grief and loss. Lisa sits on the board of EveryMind, an organization that addresses the needs of underserved mental health populations in Montgomery County, MD. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and has a private practice in Bethesda, MD.
