Meet our Clinical Team:

Paula Edwards-Gayfield, LPCS, CEDS, is a licensed professional counselor and serves as the Regional Assistant Vice President. She received her Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has extensive experience working with adolescents, adults and families. Her interests include the treatment of eating disorders, women’s issues, and relationship concern. She maintains a private practice in the Oklahoma City area and is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Oklahoma Counseling Association and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp).

Laura Minch McLain, PsyD, is the Site Director at The Renfrew Center of Atlanta. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge and her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. Dr. Minch McLain has worked in a variety of settings and with several different populations including children with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities, emerging adults, depression, anxiety, self-esteem and identity issues, addictions, and relationship issues. In addition to her role at Renfrew, she also works in private practice serving individuals suffering with eating disorders, addictions and trauma. Dr. Minch McLain is an active member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and Georgia Psychological Association (GPA).

Join us for an enlightening and supportive workshop that will help you celebrate this holiday season and plan for the New Year ahead.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Practice mindfulness skills to stay in the moment in order to appreciate the joy that the holiday season brings.
  • Identify aspects of your own recovery that deserve recognition and special attention during this time.
  • Develop goals for the New Year and take action to ensure you give yourself the gift of a happier, healthier you!

Announcements: 

The Renfrew Center of Atlanta offers an Eating Disorders Group.

The Eating Disorders Group is for adolescent girls and women of all ages who have struggled with disordered eating. Led by an experienced therapist, the group actively engages participants with each other to explore and understand the emotional and relational functions of their disordered eating and develop strategies to connect to emotions, improve communication, and achieve recovery-focused goals.
